Installing and Using Adobe Creative Cloud for Students
Online Software & Student Apps
đ¨ Install Adobe Creative Cloud on Windows or Mac, sign in with your COD account, and learn how your student license works.
If you are enrolled in a course that requires Adobe, this guide walks you through installing Adobe Creative Cloud on Windows and macOS, signing in with your College account, and fixing common login and install problems.
đĒĒ Your student license
Students enrolled in a course that requires Adobe Creative Cloud get a license for the duration of the semester. Access is removed once the semester ends.
â ī¸ Back up any important projects before your license expires at the end of the term, or you may lose access to your files.
âŦī¸ How to install Adobe Creative Cloud
For Windows and macOS:
- Go to creativecloud.adobe.com.
- Click Sign In in the top-right corner.
- Enter your College email address and click Continue.
- Select Company or School Account if prompted.
- Enter your College password and complete any required authentication.
- Once signed in, click Apps from the left-hand menu.
- Find Adobe Creative Cloud and click Download.
- Open the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions to install.
- Open Adobe Creative Cloud, sign in again with your College credentials, and install individual Adobe apps as needed.
âšī¸ At the sign-in screen, choosing Company or School Account is the step students miss most often. If you pick Personal Account, your COD license will not be found.
𧰠Common login issues and troubleshooting
| Symptom | Fix |
|---|---|
| Cannot sign in | Use your College email address (for example, username@dupage.edu). Select Company or School Account if prompted. If you forgot your password, reset it at passwordreset.microsoftonline.com. |
| Adobe app will not open | Restart your computer and try launching the app again. Make sure your operating system is up to date. |
| Subscription not active | You must be enrolled in a course that requires Adobe Creative Cloud to have an active license. If you recently added or dropped a course, allow up to 24 hours for access to update. |
| Software will not install | Make sure you have enough storage space. Temporarily disable antivirus software and try again. Restart your computer and retry the installation. |
Enrolled late and still no access? If you enrolled late and still have no Adobe access after 24 hours, contact the Student Support Help Desk. Your account may need to be added to the Adobe license group manually.
