The Activity Stream in Blackboard Ultra Base Navigation gives you a real-time overview of important updates and activity across all your courses in one place. You can jump straight to graded discussions, assignments, or announcements with a single click. There is no need to open each course separately.
đ What you might see
Depending on how your courses are set up, your Activity Stream may include:
- COD Blackboard system announcements.
- The latest posts on graded Discussion Boards. Note: posts do not appear for ungraded discussion forums. For example, if an introductory forum has no points assigned, its posts will not show in the stream.
- Submissions to Assignments, Tests, and other assessments that are ready to be graded (for instructors).
- Reminders for items added to your personal Calendar in Blackboard.
đ Filter your view
You can filter the Activity Stream to show All activities (the default), Assignments and Tests, or Grades and Feedback.
âšī¸ You can customize which stream notifications you receive, where you receive them (in Blackboard, by email, and by mobile push), and how often you get emails by editing your Blackboard Global Notification Settings.
đ How items are grouped
The Activity Stream sorts items into four categories so the list is easier to review.
| Category | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Important | For courses you are enrolled in as a student: overdue assignments, tests, and graded discussions that need immediate attention. |
| Upcoming | The top five events happening in the next seven days. |
| Today | Everything happening or due in the next 24 hours. |
| Recent | Items that were in the Today section over the past seven days. |
